Import from Yelp

Import Yelp reviews into a Space in bulk or with the browser extension, filter by rating, and add them to your Wall of Love.

You can bring Yelp reviews into a Testimonial Space and show them on your Wall of Love or website embeds. Bulk-import from your Yelp business page, or save one review at a time with the browser extension.

Open your Space from the dashboard, then use Import in the Space sidebar.

How it works

Testimonial connects to your public Yelp business page, pulls published text reviews, and saves them to your Space under Import. You choose how many reviews to fetch, set a minimum star rating, and optionally add matching reviews to your Wall of Love in one step.

After import, reviews appear on the Import page. Reviews you add to the Wall of Love are available on your hosted Wall of Love page and in Embed widgets.

Before you start

Note: By default, bulk import fetches up to the first 20 reviews. To fetch more (up to 200 reviews), your Space needs an unlimited text testimonial limit. If the larger fetch option is locked, upgrade from Settings → Plan.

What you can do

  • Bulk import published Yelp text reviews from your business page URL.

  • Fetch the first 20 reviews (or all reviews if your business has 20 or fewer).

  • On eligible plans, fetch up to 200 reviews in one import.

  • Filter by minimum star rating before importing (default is 3 stars).

  • Check Add to my Wall of Love to publish matching reviews to your Wall of Love automatically.

  • Import one review at a time from Yelp in your browser using the Testimonial extension.

Bulk import Yelp reviews

  1. Sign in and open the dashboard. If you do not have a Space yet, click Create a new space and finish setup.

  2. In the Create a new space modal, enter your Space details and save. Open the Space when you are ready to import.

  3. In the Space sidebar, click Import. On the Import page, click + Import and choose Yelp under Reviews.

  4. In the Import reviews from Yelp modal, paste your Your business page URL on Yelp (it must include /biz/), then click Search.

  5. Confirm the business and review count, then choose a fetch option and click Fetch reviews. The default option imports up to the first 20 reviews (or all reviews if there are 20 or fewer). If your plan supports it, you can select the option to fetch up to 200 reviews.

  6. Adjust Minimum stars requirement using the star control, leave Add to my Wall of Love checked if you want imported reviews on your Wall of Love, then click Import (for example Import 12 reviews). Only published reviews are shown.

When import finishes, you see a success message and reviews appear on your Space Import page. Filter by Yelp to review what was added.

Import Yelp reviews with the browser extension

Use this when you want to save one Yelp review at a time. Install the Testimonial browser extension (Chrome, Brave, Edge, or Vivaldi). See Install the Testimonial Browser Extension for setup.

  1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store and sign in with your Testimonial account when prompted.

  2. Open the Yelp review on Yelp.com, right-click the review text, and choose Save text.

  3. In the extension panel, confirm the review details. Under Select Spaces, choose the Space to save to. To publish on your Wall of Love, check Add to my Wall of Love.

  4. Save the review. It is added to the Space you selected and appears on Import (and on your Wall of Love if you enabled that option).

Tips, edge cases, and related links

Invalid business URL

If search fails, confirm the URL is a Yelp business page with /biz/ in the path. Regional Yelp domains (for example yelp.co.uk) are accepted and normalized automatically.

Re-importing reviews

Bulk import skips reviews that were already imported to the same Space, so running import again does not create duplicates.

Showing reviews on your site

Imported Yelp reviews on your Wall of Love are included in your hosted Wall of Love page and embed widgets. Open Embed widgets in the Space sidebar to copy embed code.
