When recording a video testimonial, customers can apply special effects — background blur and virtual backgrounds — before or during recording. While these can be useful, they may also distract from the testimonial itself or cause recording issues on lower-powered devices.
Enabling Disable special effects when video recording hides these options entirely, so the recording experience stays focused and consistent for all customers.
Where to find it
From your space, click Space Settings, then select "Edit the Space."
Click Extra Settings, then locate the "Disable special effects when video recording" option.
Toggle it on.
Click Update to save.
When to use this. This setting is especially useful if you want a clean, distraction-free recording experience, or if you've noticed some customers struggling with the recording step — removing extra controls simplifies the flow.
