We use lettered avatars for text testimonials that don't have a headshot or avatar uploaded by the time the testimonial is submitted.
However, you can also choose to upload the default avatar you want to use.

Any avatar used for a testimonial submitted before the change will remain the same.
Alternatively, you can change the avatar on your existing testimonial by following this guide.
Steps
Access your Wall of Love hosted by us.
From there, click the gear icon on the right to go to your Wall of Love Settings.
Select Advance and head to components.
From there, you can now upload the avatar by clicking on the "Upload Default Avatar" button.
Finally, save the changes.
