Import from Amazon

Import Amazon reviews with the Chrome extension, or bulk import from a CSV on Ultimate and Ultimate+.

Written by Damon Chen

Import Amazon customer reviews into a Space with the Testimonial browser extension, or bulk import them from a CSV on Ultimate and Ultimate+. Pasting an Amazon review URL in the app is no longer available.

Open your Space from the dashboard, then add reviews with the extension or from InboxBulk import. See a live example: https://testimonialto.webflow.io/amazon

How it works

Each Amazon review is saved as a text testimonial (reviewer name, rating, title, and body). You can add it to your Wall of Love while importing, or later from the Inbox.

Use the Chrome extension for one review at a time. Use a CSV when you have many reviews to add at once (Ultimate and Ultimate+).

Before you start

  • A Testimonial account and at least one Space. Create one from the dashboard if needed. See Get started.

  • The Testimonial browser extension in a Chromium browser (Chrome, Brave, Edge, or Vivaldi).

  • For CSV bulk import: an Ultimate or Ultimate+ plan. Other plans see Bulk import locked with an upgrade prompt.

  • To embed reviews on your site: set up a Wall of Love widget under Embed widgets.

What you can do

  • Import from the browser on any Amazon review page with the Testimonial extension.

  • Check Add to my Wall of Love when you save, or add the review later from Inbox.

  • Bulk import many reviews from a CSV via InboxBulk import (Ultimate and Ultimate+).

Import Amazon reviews with the browser extension

This is the way to import a single Amazon review. See Install the Testimonial Browser Extension for setup.

  1. Install the Testimonial browser extension in Chrome or another Chromium browser (Brave, Edge, Vivaldi, and similar), then sign in with your Testimonial account.

    Install the Testimonial browser extension
  2. On Amazon, open the review you want. Right-click the review text and choose Save text.

Right-click Save text on an Amazon review
  3. In the extension panel, confirm the review details. Under Select Spaces, choose the Space. Optionally check Add to my Wall of Love, then save.

    Select Spaces in the extension
  4. The review is added to your Space. Open Inbox or Import to confirm it appears.

Bulk import Amazon reviews with CSV

  1. On Amazon, open your product’s reviews. Filter to the star rating you want (for example, 5-star only) and copy the filtered reviews page URL if your export tool needs it.

  2. Export reviews with a third-party tool such as ExportComments.com/export-amazon-reviews, then download the CSV.

  3. Clean the CSV: remove header rows or columns your export added that are not review data, and align columns with Testimonial’s template (name, review body, rating, date, and so on).

  4. In your Space, open Inbox. Open the add menu and click Bulk import (Ultimate and Ultimate+). In the Bulk import testimonials modal, choose New testimonials, upload your CSV, map columns, optionally check Automatically add all testimonials to wall of love, then run Import one to test or Import all.

Tips

Pasting a review URL is no longer available

The in-app Amazon importer no longer accepts a customer review URL. Use the Chrome extension instead, or import many reviews from a CSV.

Show reviews on your website

Imported Amazon reviews you add to the Wall of Love appear on your hosted page and in embeds. Configure the embed under Embed widgetsWall of Love. You can also add reviews later from Inbox.

Bulk import plan requirement

CSV bulk import from Inbox requires Ultimate or Ultimate+. On other plans, Bulk import shows an upgrade message linking to pricing.
