Point a subdomain you own at your Wall of Love and landing page. Custom domains are available on paid plans. You need access to your domain’s DNS settings.
What is a subdomain?
A subdomain sits in front of your main domain. Example: love.yourwebsite.com uses the subdomain love on yourwebsite.com.
Add the custom domain in Testimonial
On the dashboard, click the 3-dot icon on the space card and select Custom domain.
Enter the subdomain you want. Common choices:
testimonial.yourwebsite.comlove.yourwebsite.comshoutout.yourwebsite.com
Save.
Add a CNAME record
Open DNS settings at your domain provider.
Add a CNAME record for your subdomain pointing to cname.testimonial.to.
Note: If you later remove the custom domain from Testimonial, also remove the CNAME record.
If the custom domain is testimonial.yourwebsite.com, the CNAME source is testimonial and the destination is cname.testimonial.to.
Provider guides:
Cloudflare — set the CNAME to DNS only, not proxied.
Add a favicon for the custom domain in Extra Settings under Group Meta Tag. Upload the icon and save.
Note: DNS can take more than 24 hours. It often finishes sooner.
Troubleshooting
The page layout looks different
If you just added the domain and the layout does not match the testimonial.to URL, message us in the chat widget.
The domain does not work yet
Wait for the CNAME to propagate. That can take 24 to 72 hours depending on your provider.
Check the record at What’s My DNS.
Enter your subdomain.
Select the CNAME record type.
Click Search. A working record looks like this:
CNAME is added but the domain still fails
On Cloudflare, set the CNAME to DNS only, not proxied.
Do not add more than one record for the same name. DNS does not allow two CNAME records on one name, and a CNAME cannot sit next to an A record for the same host. Example: if
love.yourwebsite.comCNAMEs tocname.testimonial.to, do not also add an A record forlove.yourwebsite.com.
