HubSpot Integration

Connect HubSpot from Automation to sync testimonials to contacts. Your HubSpot link appears only after OAuth.

Connect HubSpot from Automation → HubSpot to sync testimonials to your HubSpot contacts. The disconnected panel heading is HubSpot, with the line “Sync testimonials straight to your HubSpot contacts.”

The connection is one HubSpot portal per Testimonial account. Your HubSpot link is not shown until after you complete OAuth.

How it works

You authorize Testimonial through a HubSpot popup. After you connect, the HubSpot panel shows Your HubSpot link for the current Space. Paste that URL into a HubSpot marketing email and keep the HubSpot contact token HubSpot provides: {{contact.hs_object_id}}.

Note: Intercom may render a # prefix on that token in this article. The product JavaScript has no #. We could not open a connected HubSpot panel on the 2026-08-19 UI pass, so this article does not claim a live token character or a full link pattern from that pass.

When that contact submits a testimonial, Testimonial writes Testimonial Received (Yes) and Testimonial Content (the text, or a link to an MP4 for video). This article does not map deals, companies, tickets, or other HubSpot objects.

Before you start

  • A Testimonial account and a Space where you want to collect testimonials.

  • A HubSpot account with permission to install and authorize apps.

Note: On an Ultimate Space, the HubSpot tab showed Connect your HubSpot with no plan-gate or upgrade copy. If the tab is locked, check Settings → Plan.

What you can do

The disconnected panel lists:

  • Sync testimonials to HubSpot contact records

  • Add a tracking link to your email campaigns

  • Flag contacts who have left a testimonial

  • Store testimonial text and video links

Connect your HubSpot account

  1. Open the Space where you want to collect testimonials.

  2. In the left sidebar, click Automation.

  3. Select HubSpot in the tab row: Email Assistant, Zapier, Webhook, HubSpot, Slack, APIs.

  4. Click Connect your HubSpot. A popup opens for HubSpot sign-in and authorization.

  5. Sign in to HubSpot (or create an account), then approve the requested permissions.

  6. If HubSpot asks you to choose an account or portal, select the one you want to connect.

  7. When authorization succeeds, the popup shows Authorization success! This window can be closed. Close it and return to Testimonial.

Note: After you connect, the panel shows Your HubSpot link. We did not complete HubSpot OAuth on the 2026-08-19 UI pass, so this article does not describe the connected panel beyond that label.

Use your HubSpot testimonial link

  1. After connecting, open Automation → HubSpot in the Space where you want to collect testimonials.

  2. Copy the URL under Your HubSpot link.

  3. Paste the link into a HubSpot marketing email. Keep the HubSpot contact token HubSpot provides ({{contact.hs_object_id}}). HubSpot replaces it with each recipient’s contact ID when the email sends.

  4. When a contact submits a testimonial through that link, HubSpot updates their contact record as described above.

Tips and related links

Disconnect HubSpot

Disconnect copy is not visible on the disconnected panel. After you connect, look on Automation → HubSpot for a disconnect control. We did not open a connected panel this pass, so this article does not invent button labels for that state.

One HubSpot connection per account

HubSpot connects at the Testimonial account level, not per Space. You can open the panel from any Space, but copy Your HubSpot link from the Space you want people to land on — that link appears only after OAuth.
