πŸ‘‰ In order to have an API key to use our Zapier app, you have to be in the Premium plan or above.

πŸŽ₯ Here's a video walking you through the steps in this article:

What's in the integration?

Our Zapier integration includes 1 trigger and 2 actions.

Trigger

1. triggers when a new testimonial is received.

Example: πŸ‘‰ You want to set up a Zap to send a direct message in Slack to yourself every time you receive a new testimonial. In this Zap, the trigger is the new testimonial.

Action

1. sends an email asking for a testimonial.

Example: πŸ‘‰ If you want to send your customer an email asking for a testimonial after the customer left a 5-star review on Trustpilot, the Zap action is to send an email to your customer.

2. submit a video directly from an external resource.

Example: πŸ‘‰ When you receive a new video response from your VideoAsk, use this Testimonial action to directly submit the video to your Testimonial space. You can even directly add the video to the Wall of Love.

The actual use cases are not limited to the example above. With these two options, it unlocks so many possibilities in the world of automated workflows. Here are some more ideas:

  1. Automatically share the new testimonial to the social networks.

  2. If you are an eCommerce merchant, send your customer an email asking for a testimonial after 2 weeks of the purchase.

  3. If you help your clients collect testimonials, send them emails whenever new testimonials are submitted.

  4. Add VideoAsk video responses directly to your Testimonial Wall of Love.

  5. Save the video testimonial to your Google Drive/Dropbox/etc.

How do I get started?

First, go to your space's page. On the left sidebar, in the INTEGRATIONS section, find Zapier and click it:

You will see a page like the above. At the bottom, you will find your API key which will be used in creating a Zap with our Testimonial integration. Click Copy to copy your API key to the clipboard.

Next, click on the "CREATE ZAPIER INTEGRATION" button.

If you already have a Zapier account and are logged in, you should see a page that looks below. Click on the "Accept Invite & Build a Zap"

Then click on the "Create Zap" button

Now you're ready to make a new Zap! Try a search for "Testimonial" in the trigger box

Click on Testimonial, and select "New Testimonial" as the Trigger Event

After pressing continue, press the "Choose an account" input and then click on "Connect a new account"

A new tab will be opened, copy and paste your API key into the box and press the "Yes, Continue" button.

Now you're ready to set up your trigger. You just need to choose the Testimonial type you want to listen to.

  • All: new testimonial updates for both video and text testimonials

  • Video: new testimonial updates for video testimonials only

  • Text: new testimonial updates for text testimonials only

Press "Continue" and you're all done. From here you can create actions that happen on a new testimonial.

In the following screenshot, I created an action to send emails to my clients. So the purpose of this Zap is to send my clients an email update whenever a new testimonial is received. How cool is that?

We hope you will find this guide helpful to build your automated workflow for your business!
